What is Motion Sickness

Motion  sickness results when conflicting messages are sent to the brain. An example of this is being below deck in a moving boat, or reading a book in a moving vehicle. While the inner ears and skin receptors detect the travel, the eyes don’t register it. This conflicting information may cause the usual travel sickness symptoms of dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

Travel sickness is more easily prevented than treated, as it is impossible for oral medication to be absorbed in the presence of vomiting.
