Elovax One Dose Famciclovir (500mg) 3 Tablets
Description:
Elovax One Dose is an antiviral medicine used to treat recurrent outbreaks of cold sores in adults 18 years of age and over who have a normal immune system.
Although Elovax One Dose does not cure the viral infection, it helps to relieve the symptoms and shorten the duration of an outbreak.
Cold sores are an infection caused by a virus called herpes simplex type 1 (HSV-1). The infection is most commonly acquired as a baby or child from contact with parents or relatives, often from kissing.
Cold sores usually begin on or around the lips, mouth, and nose as small red bumps that turn into fluid-filled blisters.

Active ingredients:
Elovax One Dose 500 mg - 500 mg famciclovir
Inactive ingredients:
- hypromellose
- hyprolose
- macrogol
- magnesium stearate
- sodium starch glycollate
- titanium dioxide
The tablets do not contain lactose, sucrose, gluten, tartrazine or any other azo dyes.
Usage Directions:
Follow all directions given to you by your pharmacist or doctor carefully.
Take Elovax One Dose as soon as possible after the first symptoms (e.g. tingling, itching or burning) or signs (e.g. redness or swelling) of a cold sore appear.
Do not take the tablets if a hard crust has already formed on the cold sore.
The usual dose is three 500 mg tablets taken together as a single dose.
However, if you have problems with your kidneys and your pharmacist has referred you to your doctor to see if this medicine is suitable for you, your doctor may have recommended a different dose.
Storage:
Store below 30°C.
Warnings:
Consult your pharmacist or doctor before use if:
- You have high blood pressure, heart problems, liver problems, diabetes or other medical conditions
- You are taking other medicines regularly
- You have symptoms and signs of an infection other than your cold sore
- You are pregnant or may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding
Do not take Elovax One Dose:
- If you are allergic to famciclovir, penciclovir or to any of the ingredients in this product
- If you have problems with your immune system
- If you have kidney problems, unless advised by a doctor
- If the product foil is broken
- If the package use-by date has expired
Do not use in children under 18 years of age
Do not repeat treatment within 7 days. If your cold sore symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they become worse, tell your pharmacist or doctor
This product is a Pharmacist Only Medicine and requires pharmacist advice. This medicine may not be right for you. Always read the label and follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

If you've had a change of mind about an item you have ordered, we'll need to receive it back to us unopened and unused, in the original packaging.

If the item you have received is faulty, please contact us with a detailed description of the product fault, alongside a photo if possible.
Allergic Reaction
- In the rare instance you've had an allergic reaction to a product, please discontinue use of the product immediately. We may reach out for further information on the reaction.
Allergy returns must be less than 20% used upon arrival back to us.
Incorrect / Damaged Items

If you have received an item that isn't what you ordered, or it arrived damaged, please take a photo and contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please don't dispose of the item without informing us.
